Exotic Hungary/Zoltán Kocsis
An exotic display of colour brought forth from impressionism, zigzagging between two Hungarian giants (Liszt and Bartók) and the French master Claude Debussy: an evening bathed in atmosphere, colour and Hungarian exoticism.
Conductor and virtuoso pianist Zoltán Kocsis arranged a number of works for piano by Franz Liszt, the young soprano Julia Hajnóczy seduces us with seven songs by Debussy. The concert closes with that other great Hungarian composer: Béla Bartók and his Concerto for Orchestra. Julia Hajnoczy, Soprano
